What happens if: My child is doing other therapies?

Writer: Anna AndersonAnna Anderson

Homeopathy can play a huge part in your child's recovery, but it is not uncommon for children to be enrolled in other therapies to help them in as many ways as possible.

This is absolutely fine if you are considering adding homeopathy to your child's treatment plan. You do not need to give up any particular therapy in order to start homeopathy.

One word of caution however, is that in the treatment of children with autism, some form of detoxification is often necessary. I would speak with your homeopath if you are already doing some protocol of detox and let them work out how they can support this, or if homeopathic detox may be more appropriate.

Very often parents may also be working alongside a nutritionist who will be prescribing supplements. This is usually absolutely fine and often necessary. Homeopathy and nutrition go very well together!

If, as in some biomedical treatments, the therapies involve medication such as antibiotic or anti fungal treatment, it is important to let your homeopath know. They can discuss with you the best option to incorporate both if that is what you feel is best for your child.
